Arjen Reas Architecten is a Rotterdam based architectural firm, founded by Arjen Reas. The office is specialized in the fields of architecture, interior design, engineering and is currently involved in projects in the Netherlands, Austria and Portugal. The architecture of AR has evolved from an awareness of current developments and the urge to look every time again at the opportunities of existing and new techniques within the context of a project. This way we are able to offer innovative design solutions with a strong concept, which perfectly meet the contemporary life of each client.

In our projects, we are always looking for the right combination of proportion, light, color and material. Each situation is different, because of this we are able to to make every design personal. Through close contact with our clients we create a partnership resulting in the best design solutions.

Creativity and innovation go hand in hand with the projects of AR. Because the creativity of an architect is only as good as the ideas and experience of this one person, Arjen is part of a collective of talented designers and architects. Thanks to this collaboration no project is too small or too large to be successfully and efficiently developed with the best results.

Arjen Reas (MArch), born in 1981, started Arjen Reas Architecten in 2010 after working at several architectural firms, including the renowned Kraaijvanger.

Arjen studied as engineer and architect a new design technique, called Healing design; a technique where color, light, material and space were used in hospitals to shorten the healing process of a patient. Arjen mastered this knowledge and science, wich he now implements it to his projects. It is according to him, that a building does not just supply a particular interesting image, but that it creates a good connection with its environment and the experience of the user.

Trainee
To support the various design and development processes, we are constantly looking for motivated students for a period of 3 to 6 months. Knowledge of Adobe packages and AutoCAD is an advantage. Reactions, including resume and portfolio can be sent to us by email.
